Key Election Dates & Ballot Info
Be sure you know the details about when and how to vote safely in Iowa this year.
|Online Voter Registration||Saturday, October 24, 2020||You need an Iowa driver's license or ID card to use Iowa's online voter registration system. If you don't have an Iowa-issued ID, you can still register by mail to vote.|
|Absentee Ballot Requests||5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2020||Submit the request to your local election office. You should request your ballot as far in advance of the election as possible.|
|Absentee Ballots Delivered||Postmarked by Monday, November 2nd, 2020||Voted ballots are due: Postmarked 1 day before Election Day and received by noon 6 days after Election Day.|
|Early Voting||Monday, October 5, 2020 to Monday, November 2, 2020||Pre-registered voters are required to provide an approved form of ID before casting a regular ballot.|
|Election Day||Tuesday, November 3rd||Prepare for a long wait, and stay in line!|
